In the spring, within the Hubei Ezhou Pelletizing Plant area, photovoltaic modules are neatly arranged on the roofs, parking shelters, and ground, shimmering slightly under the sunlight. The 5.05MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project, constructed by Midea New Energy, has been successfully connected to the grid and is continuously supplying clean electricity for factory production. This project closely adheres to the original intention of green electricity use for Ezhou Pelletizing, overcoming the challenges of multi-scenario construction, and integrating innovative technology, providing a replicable model for the green transformation of industrial enterprises.

With the initial commitment to green electricity use, the project accurately meets the electricity needs of Wugang Resource Group Ezhou Pelletizing Co., Ltd., focusing on “self-generation for self-use, excess power to the grid” to build an efficient clean energy supply system. Utilizing 720Wp high-efficiency photovoltaic modules paired with corresponding inverters, it achieves energy conversion with an overall efficiency of 82%. In response to the significant power consumption characteristics of industrial enterprises, Midea New Energy has tailor-made multi-scenario PV solutions, helping companies reduce electricity costs and carbon emissions, freeing them from reliance on traditional fossil fuels, and achieving a dual reduction in electricity costs and carbon emissions.

The project had high construction difficulty and compound characteristics. The installed capacity was 5.05296 MWp, with installation areas including cement roofs, color steel tile roofs, glazed tile roofs, carports, and ground areas, presenting a complex structure, dispersed sites, and uneven heights, with no centralized installation conditions. The Midea New Energy construction team conducted preliminary structural surveys, reinforced areas with insufficient load-bearing capacity, standardized high-altitude operations, used standardized ground-mounted racks, uniform elevation, precise line laying, and employed independent foundations/short pile racks to ensure stability, wind resistance, and neat arrangement. In addition, by conducting construction in separate zones and optimizing the transfer routes, the project was ensured to be connected to the grid on schedule.

The project's green energy-saving effects are significant. According to calculations, the first-year power generation is expected to reach 5.3129 million kWh, with a cumulative 25-year power generation of about 126.3827 million kWh, which can save 38,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 72,000 tons, alleviating the company's electricity pressure and injecting momentum into the region's 'dual carbon' goals.

This project's operation marks Midea New Energy's commitment to practicing in the field of green energy for industrial and commercial sectors. In the future, Midea New Energy will leverage its comprehensive technical advantages across the entire chain, focusing on the green electricity needs of enterprises, innovate solutions, and assist companies in achieving energy structure optimization and green transformation.
