Not long ago, Midea Hefei Washing Machine Factory won the honor of being a sustainable "Lighthouse Factory" by the World Economic Forum (WEF), marking the international authoritative recognition of Midea's green industry capabilities. "Lighthouse Factories" are hailed as "the world's most advanced factories." They are demonstration benchmarks for "digital manufacturing" and "Globalization 4.0" and are regarded as the forerunners of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Since 2018, the World Economic Forum and McKinsey & Company have launched a global project to select "Lighthouse Factories" to find examples of digital transformation in the manufacturing industry. Currently, 90 factories from 22 industries around the world have been selected. Among them, there are 31 "Lighthouse Factories" in China, and Midea has 5 of them.
