Midea Group deepens cooperation with China Merchants Bank and China Merchants Financial Leasing

On April 9, a delegation from China Merchants Bank headquarters, China Merchants Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Merchants Financial Leasing”), and China Merchants Bank Foshan Branch visited the Midea Group headquarters. Both parties discussed deepening cooperation in the new energy sector and simultaneously explored opportunities for deeper cooperation in KUKA robotics automation, healthcare, home appliances, building data centers and other business areas.

The delegation from China Merchants Bank and China Merchants Financial Leasing first visited the Midea headquarters 08 exhibition hall, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Midea Group's development philosophy, industrial layout, and core strategic planning, laying the groundwork for subsequent in-depth discussions.

During the meeting, Midea Group's Executive President and President of the New Energy Business Division, Eric Wang, provided a comprehensive overview of the group's overall business structure, industrial layout, development strategy, and operating results, and offered an in-depth interpretation of the strategic planning for the new energy sector. He stated that, in the context of the accelerating global energy transformation, Midea Group will continue to increase its investment in the new energy sector, and hopes that both parties will fully leverage their respective advantages to engage in comprehensive cooperation in areas such as new energy project development, green financial innovation, and value-adding across the industrial chain.

In addition to cooperation in the new energy sector, collaboration is also being pursued in the fields of KUKA robotics automation, healthcare, home appliances, and building computing centers.

Zhang Cheng, Party Secretary and President of China Merchants Financial Leasing, introduced the company's development process and business model in recent years. He stated that China Merchants Financial Leasing has maintained steady operations over the long term, focusing on investment and layout in the fields of transport capacity, electricity, and computing power in recent years. Currently, China Merchants Financial Leasing and HICONICS New Energy have preliminarily cooperated in the distributed photovoltaic sector, with broad prospects. He hopes that both sides will conduct in-depth business cooperation domestically and overseas in diversified and comprehensive energy sectors.

Ye Zhengmao, Party Secretary and Branch Manager of China Merchants Bank Foshan Branch, introduced the cooperation model between China Merchants Bank and Midea Group in the retail and supply chain sectors, and provided a thorough interpretation of China Merchants Bank's business advantages. He mentioned that Midea Group is a key strategic client of China Merchants Bank, and based on the head office's comprehensive service system, the Foshan branch will handle service and coordination work locally.

During the meeting Du Yi, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of China Merchants Financial Leasing, Wang Jiannan, General Manager of the Strategic Customer Department of China Merchants Bank Head Office, and Huang Qichun, member of the Party Committee and Deputy行长 of China Merchants Bank Foshan Branch made ample supplements from the perspectives of industry-finance integration, asset securitization, and supply chain financial services, further clarifying the dimensions of cooperation and providing professional and feasible suggestions for subsequent in-depth cooperation and efficient implementation.

Liu Yi, General Manager of HICONICS New Energy Co., Ltd., spoke on specific business cooperation, stating that since April this year, the scale of business cooperation between both parties has significantly increased. He hopes to seize the current favorable momentum, further increase the financing amount, ensure the smooth connection of multiple contract cycles, and continuously broaden the scope of cooperation. After this exchange, the business units will further explore cooperation models in two dimensions: integrated energy solutions and overseas business development.

Midea Group will work closely with China Merchants Bank and China Merchants Financial Leasing, taking cooperation in the new energy field as a pivot.
